Privacy policy

Last updated July 2026.

The short version

MixMySound processes your audio entirely on your device. There is no server that receives, stores, or has access to your files. We don’t require an account to use the editor.

What happens to my audio

When you import or record audio, it’s decoded and edited using your browser’s built-in Web Audio API, entirely on your device. Saved projects — including the audio itself — are stored in your browser’s local storage (IndexedDB). Nothing is transmitted anywhere unless you explicitly export and share a file yourself.

Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregate page-view analytics (which pages were visited, in general terms) to understand traffic to the marketing site. This never includes anything about your audio, edits, or projects, and is never tied to an individual identity.

Accounts and license keys

MixMySound doesn’t require an account. If you purchase Pro, your license key is stored locally in your browser to unlock features — we don’t maintain a database linking keys to personal profiles beyond what’s necessary to process payment and issue the key.

Third parties

Payment processing for Pro purchases is handled by a third-party provider, which receives only the information necessary to complete the transaction. We don’t sell or share data with advertisers.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date above. Continued use of MixMySound after a change means you accept the updated policy.
